Swing Arm Trellis for Blackberries

7/11/2016

Blackberries under high tunnels growing on swing-arm trellises are now being harvested. Trellises are positioned at an angle early in the season so that fruiting laterals (branches) grow upwards toward the light. Once the laterals are set growing in an upright position, the trellis arms are moved to a near vertical position so that the fruit all hang on one side of the trellis where they are easier to see and pick.
